Sate lilit is a typical Balinese food made from chicken or pork or sea fish. Sate lilit is usually served during traditional activities or religious ceremonies. Currently, there are many restaurants that serve satay lilit. How to make satay lilit is quite simple. The ingredients used are red onion, garlic, chili, turmeric, kencur, galangal, salt, coconut milk, purut jerut (in Bali known as Base Genep) and the main ingredients are meat or sea fish. The ingredients were finely chopped and then mixed with meat or sea, then compacted and glued with bamboo sticks or coconut fronds (in Bali called Katik Sate), then baked. In the presentation, it is usually served with banana stem vegetables (ares) or with jackfruit, lawar and raw sambal (Sambal matah)

Sate lilit adalah makanan khas Bali yang terbuat dari daging ayam atau daging babi atau ikan laut. Sate lilit biasanya disajikan saat kegiatan adat atau upacara agama. saat ini sudah banyak terdapat rumah makan yang menjuat sate lilit. Cara membuat sate lilit cukup sederhana. Bahan-bahan yg digunakan adalah bawang merah, bawang putih, cabe, kunyit, kencur, lengkuas, garam, santan, jerut purut (di Bali dikenal dengan Base Genep) serta bahan utamanya daging atau ikan laut. Bahan-bahan tadi di rajang halus kemudian dicampur dengan daging atau laut, kemudian dikepal dan dilekatkan dengan batang bambu atau pelepah kelapa (di Bali disebut Katik Sate), kemudian dipanggang. Dalam penyajiannya biasanya dilengkapi dengan sayur batang pisang (ares) ataup dengan sayur nangka, lawar serta sambal mentah (Sambal matah).
